Glock Perfection: Part 1 (1963-88)
Antonín Kuchyňka
The first part of the book trilogy begins with the extraordinary story of Austrian engineer Gaston Helmut Glock and the revolutionary pistol he created, the GLOCK 17! Very shortly after its launch, it clearly surpassed the competition in all technical specifications and, in terms of weapons, gained its unshakable place in the global weapons segment in a very short time.
You will be introduced to the first generation series of standard Glock 17 pistols, but you will also be able to see prototypes and individual pre-production versions of the newly emerging pistol for the first time! You will also be able to get acquainted with variants of Glock pistols that do not normally appear. For example, some of the first Glocks intended for the Austrian Bundesheer, or the first Glocks for the Norwegian Armed Forces. Of interest will certainly also be the mention of the almost unknown generations unofficially referred to as "plus" (Gen1 plus, Gen2 plus, Gen3 plus). You will also have the opportunity in the first part to "grab" Glock field knives, which were supplied to the Austrian Armed Forces even before the revolutionary pistol, or a structurally advanced field shovel or ingeniously simple, but all the more practical polymer carrying buckles, which even preceded the field knives themselves!
The first part maps the entire development process and the very creation of this revolutionary weapon in the most detailed and comprehensive way to date. At the same time, it also describes in great detail the first generation of these perfect products "Made in Austria".
